It has four floors above ground and one basement floor.
The walls were renovated in 2010 to make it more earthquake resistant.
There used to be ivy on the walls, but it seems to have disappeared during this renovation work.
Construction is by Obayashi Corporation.
It has received the BCS Award and the Japan Institute of Architects 25-year Award.
It has been selected as one of the “Architecture of the Modern Movement in Japan” by DOCOMOMO Japan.
