Former Iga City Hall South Building

The former city hall in Iga City, Mie, is located on the north side of Uenoshi Station on the Iga Railway. The mayor at that time asked Sakakura to design this building after seeing Hashima city hall that was also designed by Sakakura.
This work was selected as Architecture of Modern Movement in Japan by DOCOMOMO Japan.
