Originally, this building was built as a bank, and currently Miyazaki Prefectural Office Building 5. It was moved about 70m north from the original location due to the construction of the disaster prevention station. Miyazaki Prefectural Government Building, also a designated important landscape structure (designed by Akira Oshio) is located on the north of this building.
